Established in 1980, PT. Indo Bharat Rayon (IBR) pioneered the production of viscose staple fibre (VSF) in Indonesia and was also the first to achieve ISO 9002 and ISO 14001 certifications as well as OEKO-TEX certification from BTTG, Europe.Indo Bharat Rayon’s modern plant situated at Purwakarta in West Jawa, commenced commercial production in 1982 with a modest capacity of 16,500 tpa. Through strategic investments in expansion over the years, today it has an installed capacity of over 192,000 tpa and has become world’s second largest manufacturer of VSF at a single location.
