Permata Energy Resources is a leading privately owned coal producer in Sumatera and an emerging producer in Kalimantan. Permata Energy Resources is particularly active in the acquisition, exploration and development of coal mines and coal infrastructure in Indonesia.

Currently Permata Energy Resources is the holding company of amongst others, PT. Riau Baraharum (RBH) and PT. Nusantara Termal Coal (NTC). Both RBH and NTC are CCOW companies with operating licenses until 2035 and 2036 respectively. RBH’s mine location is at Indragiri-Hulu, Riau province and has been in production since 2005.
